Large Format Tiles

When it comes to tiles size matters, but with sizes ranging from as small as 2.5 x 2.5 mosaics to 120 x 120 large format tiles you may be wondering how to decide on which end of the spectrum to go for.

Pros:

The main benefits of larger tiles is the seamless and modern aesthetic they provide, with no distracting grout lines to draw the eye it can make your space feel larger and maximise what space you have.

On top of a modern spacious aesthetic they are much easier to maintain with the sleek smooth surface being effortless to clean and very few grout lines to contend with.

With digital printing advancing more and more every year the options you have at your disposal become better and better, particularly with larger format tiles you can create the look of almost any material including metal, wood and even fabrics.

Cons:

One of the major drawbacks of larger tiles is the difficulty of installation. Where someone with good DIY instincts could have a go at tiling themselves saving themselves a few pound, these large tiles more often than not would require more experienced hands and even then present an installation challenge.

Another factor to consider with larger tiles is their fragility, due to their size they are more prone to cracking when dropped or bumped this poses a challenge in transport and installation.
