We stock both C16 and C24 kiln dried softwood carcassing, the higher the number the stronger the wood.

C16 vs C24

C24 is best used for strong load bearing scenarios such as balconies
C16 has slightly less strength but cheaper in price – best for medium load bearing such as floor joists and partitioning
C16 is best used for indoor structural work
C24 if properly pressure treated will last well outside with little maintenance
